[Music + Lyrics] I Will Wait – Exclusive Release – Sam The Psalmist

The song “I Will Wait” was released by Sam the Psalmist, a gospel musician and God’s servant who is based in the United States.

The artist’s wait for God’s promise is reflected in this song, which was written with great anticipation.

One of the most private and unfiltered times in my life, characterized by quiet, hold-ups, and what seemed like unanswered prayers, gave rise to “I Will Wait.” As time went on, I struggled to balance my own expectations with God’s timing. On some days, I felt exhausted, emotionally and spiritually, and I wondered if the promises I was clinging to would ever be fulfilled. But during those silent times, Isaiah 40:29–31 gave me courage.

This verse served as my reassurance. It served as a reminder that waiting on God is not a passive act; rather, it is a posture of trust and a choice to lean in when giving up would be easier. I came to see that surrender, rather than striving, is where true strength lies.

“He strengthens the weak and gives strength to the weary.” However, those who wait on the Lord will regain their strength; they will fly like eagles, run without fatigue, and walk without fainting.

“I Will Wait” is more than simply a song; it is a statement of my own faith and tenacity. It is for those who are stuck in the middle, clinging to a divine message that has not yet come to pass. The song exhorts people to fast, pray, and maintain their faith because God is dependable, not because everything is obvious.

As I reminded myself, I wanted to use this anthem to give voice to the waiting soul and remind them that those who wait on the Lord will, in fact, soar like eagles. He will fulfill the promise, even if it takes longer than expected. He always does.

Lyrics – I will wait (Sam The Psalmist)

Verse 1

Those who wait on the lord
he will renew their strength they will run and grow weary
they will walk and not faint

Chorus

So I will wait on the lord

Verse 2
Be strong and courageous
holding on to your confession
cause he who promised is faithful
He who is faithful

Bridge
While am waiting I will keep fasting
while am waiting I will praying
So while am waiting I’ll keep trusting you God

I’ll keep fasting I “ll keep praying
keep on believing
