“…thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.”
(1 Samuel 10: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Prophet Samuel said, “for God is with thee”. Samuel assured Saul of God’s presence. He assured Saul that in the journey of his kingship, God would accompany him. Whatever opposition or challenge that was going to rise, the presence of God was going to be involved all the way.
Friend, God says, in 2016, “I will be with you”. God will be with you as you break forth on all sides; God will be with you as you conquer new territories and gain new grounds; God will be with you as you fight and defeat the enemy; God will be with you as you make new achievements; God will be with you as you rise to the next level; God will be with you as you run your race this year.
God will go before you to make the crooked paths straight; He will go before you to open new doors and fight the battles you cannot fight; He will go before you to work for you in places you are yet to arrive at. God is not about to leave you to run alone this year; He is ready to back you up if you are willing.
God’s presence was an integral part of the new level Saul was about to step into. God’s presence was part and parcel of Saul’s success package. You will be working against yourself if you do anything that takes God’s presence out of your life; you will be setting yourself up for big time shame if you leave God behind this year.
God’s presence is your only sure guarantee for success and Exceeding Expansion. Stay connected to God, never do anything that will push His presence away from you, and you will experience an Exceeding Expansion all year long.
Exodus 33 vs. 14 wraps it up: “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest”
