EeZee Concept Refutes Apostle Anselm Madubuko’s Allegations Amid Mediation Efforts

In response to Apostle Anselm Madubuko’s press statement dated January 18, 2024, gospel music label Eezee Concept has issued a counterstatement addressing the ongoing conflict involving the label and its artists. The label expressed its disappointment over perceived biases during the mediation process led by Apostle Madubuko.

According to the label, the first mediation meeting saw allegations against one of the artists for diverting funds and missing scheduled events for higher-paying engagements. The label claims that these breaches were not addressed by the Apostle. A subsequent meeting, which included stakeholders such as Efe Omoregbe, Mama Hilda Dokubo, and Mr. Mena, alongside the artists’ husbands, focused primarily on the music catalog. The artists reportedly demanded the transfer of master rights, which the label states is impossible as they are only entitled to royalties.

Media Discussion by both Mercy Chinwo and EeZee Concept

The mediation discussion briefly touched on the need for an audit, and all parties agreed to appoint an independent auditor to review both the label’s and artist Mercy Chinwo’s accounts. Despite this agreement, the label asserts that no funds were diverted and suggests that the true motive is a bid to claim ownership of the music catalog created during the term of the agreement, which the label maintains it owns perpetually.

The label further alleges that Apostle Madubuko ceased communication and ignored attempts to reschedule a follow-up meeting. During this period, the label’s representative was detained in Ilorin for nine days, during which all personal and corporate accounts were frozen, and no wrongdoing was found in the investigation.

Emphasizing its commitment to transparency, the label mentioned that it has provided periodic financial reports to all its talents, ensuring they have the opportunity to seek clarification on any discrepancies. The label expressed its dismay at the alleged misrepresentation of facts by influential figures within the church and reiterated its dedication to a fair and unbiased resolution to uphold justice and maintain the integrity of its contracts and organization.

Recall that the CEO of EeZee Concepts, mr Ezekiel Onyedikachuwu ThankGod had earlier accused Mercy Chinwo of ingratitude.
