In a TikTok video that went viral, the content creator called Pastor Adeboye “very st*pid and f**lish” for putting his congregation through a 100-day fast.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has declared that due process must be followed in this case despite its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, seeking the release of TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo (Seaking303).

Pastor Adeboye’s Expression

According to Pastor Adeboye, he demanded that SeaKing be freed, claiming that he was carrying out a divinely given prophecy. Adeboye, who had earlier been under public scrutiny for saying that people could go to hell for not paying tithe, has earnestly called for the relese of Olumide Ogunsanwo.

The Church Demands

Nevertheless, the church has refused to grant Pastor Adeboye’s request for his release, arguing that due process must be followed and requesting that the law be given time to run its course. There has been a video in circulation calling for the release of Olumide Ogunsanwo (Seaking303) by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. It is crucial to remember that the earlier videos that contained potentially harmful remarks had not been carefully reviewed.

Press Statement from RCCG

It is now vital to let the law do its thing after giving careful consideration to the issues brought up by specific claims and statements.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye’s remarks about Olumide Ogunsanwo (Seaking303) during Saturday’s Holy Ghost Service Night must be carefully understood. The Church does not intend to interfere with the ongoing police investigation, especially as there is an official complaint filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum against Olumide Ogunsanwo John (Seaking303) and others on behalf of the Fathers of Faith, including Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

We therefore have faith that the appropriate authorities will conduct their investigations in a professional manner and arrive at a fair conclusion in accordance with the law. While Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye maintains a heart of love and reconciliation, due process must be followed. Additionally, we issue a warning against inappropriate remarks and cyberbullying about Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the entire body of Christ.

“Furthermore, the Church encourages respectful discourse and will continue to promote a culture of honor while discouraging defamatory and disrespectful statements. Spiritual leaders are highly respected in both our culture and religion.”
