The update We are getting Now states that he is now the General Overseer of RCCG Worldwide and Pastor Joseph Obayemi is the new general overseer for Nigeria.
News reaching us has it that Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye , who up till early this morning was the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has stepped down. He will no more be the G.O. Another General overseer has been announced in the person of Pastor Joseph Obayemi.
Our sources in the camp tells us that as at the time of writing this story, reasons for his steeping down are yet to be known.
But we are made to understand that Pastor Obayemi will be over seeing all Nigerian churches and we are waiting for the information as regarding the new structure RCCG will be taking. Pastor Joseph Obayemi has been the Pastor in charge of Region 2 RCCG up until now.

Pastor Adeboye was appointed General Overseer of the church of the Redeemed Christina church of God in 1981, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year. For three years he filled the role part-time, still lecturing at Ilorin, until giving up his university position to preach full-time.
