Nigerian gospel music artist, Laolu Gbenjo, celebrates his birthday today, Friday, May 22nd, 2020.

The artist, regarded as the “alujo specialist”, specializes in upbeat traditional Yoruba music which he uses as a medium of his own Gospel music. He is well known for his energetic performances and ecstatic dance moves.

Posting earlier today on his Instagram page, he was gratefuk to God especially for the past one year of his life. Here’s what he said:

Laolu Gbenjo has released lots of songs which include “ALUJO META” with Mike Abdul and Tosin Bee, “TURNAROUND”, “OLAOLUWA” and “SHYNE” with Henrisoul. He has also fetured in live concerts hosted by BeeJay Sax.

During this period of the COVID-19 lockdown, he has kept his fans connected by hosting live “alujo” sessions on his Instagram page, and he is usually joined by friend and collaborator, BeeJay Sax.
