Jane Rita a Ghanaian Born US based gospel artiste has justified her choice of featuring Kofi Kinaata on her lasted single titled “God of Miracle”.
According to the 2019 Chicago African Gospel Recognition Award winner, she does not see secular musicians as people in darkness but it will be prudent to draw closer to people before you can conclude on the content of their character to make a decision.
She believes her choice of going for a colleague musician who is also a secular artiste from the Western Region where she hails from was based on consistent positive message that has been churn out by the artiste over time which has impacted society positively.
“I don’t see a circular musician as someone who is in darkness; everyone has a way of spreading the gospel across the world. I have been paying attention to Kofi Kinaata’s music for a while, I have been a fan, I can say for a fact that his music encourages and does not portray any negative impact. Sometimes he talks about bad things which he expects and pray for God to help him change”.
“When I finished the song I felt that Kofi Kinaata’s unique style on the project could also help to win souls for Christ, therefore I am glad to have him on board. Kofi Kinaata’s story line on the “God of Miracle” sincerely did not even occurs to me, it was so amazing, he said that if you have faith like master seed… that means he has a seed of God in him and I am so privilege God gave me opportunity to get closer to him. When I got closer to him, I realized that there is a fear of God in him that is why it is always better not to Judge a book by the cover but rather by its content. Some pastors even asked me if I wrote the lyrics for Kofi Kinaata, I said no, this should tell you a lot”.
