Hillsong United’s “Reason I Live”
THOUGHTS
Hillsong United started by clapping alongside rhythm of the song, followed shortly were the chorus and full instruments. The rhythm of the song is that of high life. Short and precise declaration of the fact that they can do nothing without Jesus and a total confession of how much they need His direction.
Planet shakers “Reason I Live”
On the other hand planet shakers’ song started on a slow pace with just drums and a soloist that graduates to a full session with backups and complete instruments. At a particular point there was a pause and it was just the vocals after which the drums and other instruments came in with a continuous repetition of chorus.

They both killed it but obviously one has a higher point than the other. After much observations, planet shakers happened to kill this particular song more in the sense that they gave room for the listeners to connect with God especially the part where there was a pause and solemn echoing of the chorus. The atmosphere was filled with sincerity and confession of the word. Finally looking at the dynamism of the vocals(voice control and harmony) were just superb, well organised and precise.
