American gospel music artists Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, and Kierra Sheard have each won a GMA Dove Award this year.
Kirk Franklin (Fo Yo Soul/RCA) won Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year, for LONG LIVE LOVE. Travis Greene won Gospel Worship Album of the Year, for BROKEN RECORD. Kierra Sheard (Karew Entertainment/RCA Inspiration), won Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year, for “Something Has to Break (Live)” feat. Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
Tauren Wells and Travis Greene also performed on the show. Wells brought together a historic lineup of collaborators to the Dove Awards stage, performing his hit song “Famous For (I Believe)” with Jenn Johnson, Christine D’Clario, and Jekalyn Carr together for the first time.
Greene delivered a soaring performance of his chart-topping song “Won’t Let Go” on the stage.
