Some of the best of Nigerian gospel music at this time, have recently collaborated to release a beautiful track titled “HOLD TO HIS HAND: A SONG OF HOPE”. The song is a remake of the original version which was written in 1906 by Jennie Wilson.
The song is meant as a message of hope to believers during a time when believing becomes a challenge. The entire world is in a situation where everything as we know it, has changed and people are left wondering whether there is any cause to stay positive. But this song is a reminder that God does exist and we should HOLD TO HIS HAND.
The song was produced by Wole Adesanya and supervised by Wale Adenuga. In an Instagram post, the latter said of the song:
Faith. Hope. Joy. These are so needed now, tomorrow and the days after tomorrow. These you will hear and sense in this classic song collaboratively performed by some of Nigeria’s finest worship artistes. I’ve had so much joy helping to see to it’s fruition.
The project HOLD TO HIS HAND: A SONG OF HOPE featured quite a number of Nigerian gospel artists including Mairo Ese, Nosa, Olumide Iyun, Prospa Ochimana, Sammie Okposo, Dunsin Oyekan to name but a few. It was beautifully rendered and is a blessing to listen to. The audio and video are available below:
