Tasha Cobbs, Donnie McClurkin, Don Moen at The Encounter South Africa.

The Encounter 2017 (A Festival of Praise) happened last night 11 August 2017 at the Expo Center Nasrec, Johannesburg, South Africa. It was an amazing night with performances from Tasha Cobbs, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Frank Edwards, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Tim Godfrey. Also billed to perform was Travis Greene but he was visibly absent. We do not know the circumstances of his absence but his absence was felt. The Encounter 2017 is organised by Grace House Family Church, headed by Pastors Chuck and Augusta Ozabor.

The red carpet sessions and interview was really interesting, looks like Donnie and Don Moen might be working on a project together soon. This is probably South Africa’s version of Nigeria’s The Experience Lagos music concert. From what we see, the turn out was massive. The event brought together christian faithfuls of all denominations under one atmosphere to worship and Praise God. These are the kind of event that give gospel music leverage in nations.
