Last night at the Houston version of the ‘Don’t Matter Tour’, popular music producer, singer and song writer August Alsina featured Gospel music powerhouse Tasha Cobbs in song.
Recall that Tasha Cobbs has been under fire for mingling with the ‘Unsaved’ most prominent of it all being her featuring Rihanna in a her latest album Heart Passion Pursuit. August Alsina is a secular artist, who is signed to Def Jam, with a long history of ‘Unsaved’ practices, if we may use that word. He has not been in talking terms with his mother for tow years now, but this tour saw that change.
He brought his mother on stage at the Houston concert and made up with her. August was hugging and kissing his mother as he sang “Make it Home” to her. He admitted not too long ago that he is dealing with a liver disease. This was the perfect mother and son bonding moment for the audience at the concert to witness. From all that is happening in this concert, it seems as thought Alsina has found faith.
Many of Tasha Cobbs’ colleagues have also praised her for the bold steps of wadding in the secular entertainment water despite crticisms from church folks. In a social media post Isaac Caree has lauded her approach to evangelism. Here is what Isaac Caree had to say;
