Basketball high school coach John Harrison and his squad face an uncertain future when the biggest manufacturing plant in their city shuts down suddenly. John reluctantly agrees to coach cross-country as hundreds of people move away, a sport he doesn’t even like.
Shortly after meeting Hannah Scott, an unlikely runner who pushes herself to the limit, his outlook changes. Inspired by a new friend’s words and prayers, John begins to train Hannah for her young life’s biggest race.
