Gospel music singer Eric Arubayi is dead.

News reached us at about 9 :06 PM last night that gospel music singer and recording artist, Eric Arubayi is dead. According to our sources, the fine looking, anointed singer suffered from a liver failure after taking what was later known to be expired drug. He was admitted to the hospital after his body started reacting to the drug and finally gave up the ghost in the evening yesterday.

Eric has been working on his album and has released a few songs in preparation for the album. He had also shot some videos which are due to be released this year. Some of his released songs are My Everything, The sound, Most high and others.

Before his transition into gospel music, Mr Arubayi was the third runner up of the first West African Idol and afterwards released a couple of lovely secular songs which enjoyed a lot of airplay. He later decided to focus on doing just gospel music since was already a worship leader at House on The Rock.

HE was the CEO of Spirit Music and was until his death a lead singer at House on  the Rock. He is survived by his wife Chinonso and a child.

Eric Dafe Arubayi has been described in time past as a R&B/Classic Soul artiste but it is safe to say he is pushing the frontiers with recent releases such as“The Sound” & “My Everything”. He released his debut album in 2011 titled “Redefined” which saw him working with the likes of Jesse Jagz and South African Sizwe Mawaza.

He was a worship leader in House on the Rock Lagos, and his kind of music has been described as classic R&B/Soul. He was part of the maiden edition of the defunct West African Idols and released his debut Album in 2011 titled “Redefined”. The Album featured the likes of Jesse Jagz. He is popularly known for major hits like “I go make am”, “Mr DJ”, “One Love, one Voice”.
