Nigerian gospel artist and minister, Phemyfere, a trumpeter, has released a new tune titled “Heal Our Land”, and featuring fellow gospel artist, Fortune Ebel.
“Heal Our Land”, is a song of prayer to God for a total cleansing of Nigeria. It is a particularly timely song because of the ongoing protests against Police brutality and bad governance.
According to him, God is saying:
“If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”
BRIEF BIO OF PHEMYFERE
Phemyfere was born in Lagos Nigeria, he is from Ido Local Government area in Ibadan, Oyo state, south west Nigeria.
His father Mr Oluwafunmito Micheal Amusan was a Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church worldwide before he slept in the Lord.
He started from the boys brigade of Nigeria, joined the brigade band and moved to learning jazz music where he met Nathaniel Bassey as his teacher and inspiration.
Phemyfere studied music at ABRSM at MUSON center Lagos, after then started his music school named Micphem Music School.
He has worked with both International and Local artistes like Lionel Peterson, Steve Rhodes band, Buchi, Demola Olota etc.
He is a trumpeter at Daystar Christian Center, under the ministry of Pastor Sam. Adeyemi where he discovered there is more to music than playing trumpet alone, he discovered his potential to sing meaningful songs that will bless lives.
He is married to Oluwakemi Modupeola and blessed with two kids.
His latest single “Heal Our Land ”, is a song of prayer to God, God does not only deliver Israelite into a life of total rest, but also a release from oppression … ( Exodus3vs8 )
