Who Is He That Changed The World ?
The patriotic saint of India, Swami Vivekananda said about Him, ”Had I lived in Palestine, in the days of Jesus of Nazareth, I would have washed his feet, not with my tears, but with my heart’s blood!”.
I once asked, God, “Let’s be fair, You have no clue about the struggles a man goes through in this life. You can stay up above and keep giving orders!” But then suddenly my eyes fell on this man hung on an old wooden cross. A picture worth a million words in it’s still voice whispered “I was in your world!”
Born of a virgin (unequaled before or after) in the meekest of places, in a manger, to a carpenter- He had a humble beginning. Yet a life so impeccable, the prying eyes of His critics could find no evidence of wrong in Him. The temptations of the world could not shake His integrity even at His weakest. The raging seas calmed at His sign, the blind received sight at His touch, the dead came alive at His word! Looking at a woman, He once said ‘Your sins are forgiven’ and her sins remained no longer… Hope to the hopeless, father to the orphans, comforter of the broken yet with the power over nature and authority to forgive sin and triumphant over death. Who could this be? None but God!
He set up a standard sinless and without stain. This pure; purest of all, the flawless, the only perfect among any that was born of women, became the only sacrifice through which mankind can stand justified today. On the cross, He was replacing me at my death. In doing so, He became the(my) mediator between man and God. Forever He stays, JESUS: The Way, The Truth and The Life.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life!
