Report filled in from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department saying it has apprehended a naked man named Jason Funke, aged 25,with a gun in a church premises.
The said man was assumed to be distraught and threatening suicide,probably because he was wanted by the police force.
Shortly after the man appeared, the church property was swarming with police, and an officer ordered everyone away from windows where they could be seen.An eye witness named Chris Merhi,who was with nine other students at 11 a.m. Saturday at Life Springs Christian Church said he saw a naked man walked to his window at the exam hall with a gun at hand and sat there.he was scared and alerted other examiners whom stayed away from being seen from the naked man. Shortly before leaving the premises, Chris Merhi took a photo of the naked man as seen sitting by a transparent window with a gun,before police filled in the church premises.
The incident lasted for about 20 minutes before an officer named Mark Hatten, assigned to the Community Policing Division, South Central Area Command,shot him in his arm,after instructing the residence of the presence of a naked man with a gun.
Chris Merhi said to News agents;
“The guard had told us, don’t go out there. There’s a man outside. He’s naked with a gun,” said Merhi, who was in a room with nine other students.
Merhi says the ordeal lasted about 20 minutes, and while startling, he never feared for his safety.
“When I saw the man, personally, of course, I was freaked out,” Merhi told News 3.
In addition to the handgun, Merhi said it appeared the man also had large stacks of cash with him.
The officer who took the shot would be questioned according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department because it involved shooting.
