No election in Nigeria come 2019 – Apostle Suleman

Senior Pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has  been credited with a new prophecy going viral on social media that ‘except prayers are made, I do not see any election in Nigeria in 2019’.

In a chat with journalists in his church, he quoted to have said, ‘tell Nigerians who wish to see democracy sustained, to pray for our leaders and work for peace; tell the leaders too to pray and be honest with the people they are serving, otherwise, elections may not hold in Nigeria in 2019. That is what God has shown me.”

Back in December 2013, he prophesied the crowning of former Central Bank of Nigeria’s governor, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi Lamido, as Emir of Kano. He equally foresaw the death of a serving cabinet member in Nigeria and asked for special prayer during a church service in January 2015.

Police parade pastor arrested with human heart in Calabar

The Cross River State police command will soon charge to court the pastor of Royal God’s Commandments Ministry, one Mr. Tony Obo-Ekpeyong, for allegedly abducting and killing a 19-month-old baby girl, Success, for ritual purposes.

Following the incident, a branch of the church, along Abua Street in Calabar, was demolished by an angry mob at the weekend.

The pastor was arrested last week Thursday by the police and items recovered from him included a human heart suspected to be that of the abducted baby, some charms, fetish items and pictures of various persons among others.

While parading the suspect with six others in Calabar on Tuesday, the Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, said it was not true that the suspects in the crime have been freed.

The spokesperson of the command, Irene Ugbo, said they were arrested when the parents of the deceased raised an alarm that their child had been abducted by some masked men who stormed their house.

She said some operatives were immediately deployed to search the church and its environ and that they found some incriminating items and arrested the pastor and six others.

Ugbo said: “On August 24, we received a distress call that one pastor in a church in Calabar South had killed a baby girl. When we got there, the heart of the child was still shaking. The suspect lied that the heart was that of a fowl. We have sent the heart to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital for proper analysis.

“We actually heard some rumours that the police have collected money to release the suspects. We have called the press here today for the world to know that the suspects are still in our custody and investigation is ongoing. The police cannot release murder, kidnap or other categories of suspects without due process. We are going to charge the suspects to court immediately.”

The suspect, however, denied the allegation, saying: “I was praying for one of our members who was sick when the police came and arrested me. The heart they saw was that of a fowl. We don’t operate any shrine in the church. The thick blood that was seen on the altar was that of a goat and a fowl that we killed to celebrate with our members after our three-day fasting programme.”

Faith Inyang, the 20-year-old mother of the baby, corroborated what the police said. “I recognised one of the men because of his stature. He lives around our area and he normally passes through our house. Up till now, I have not seen the body of my daughter apart from the heart that was found there.”

Lifting spirits: Texas woman breaks out into incredible gospel performance inside Hurricane Harvey shelter

Gospel singers broke out in song at a Texas convention center on Tuesday night as the performers tried to lift spirits after thousands were evacuated from their homes during Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey. Victoria White, along with Marquist Taylor and several others, sang to evacuees at the Lone Star Expo Center in Conroe, Texas, north of Houston. Massive flooding from Harvey forced thousands of rescues that overwhelmed emergency responders as convention centers, churches and even mattress stores opened their doors to people needing shelter during the storm.

White was filmed singing at the Lone Star Expo Center amid rows of beds and cots at the shelter by volunteer Joni Villemez-Comeaux. ‘This woman’s powerful voice, singing praise, lifted the Spirit of all within earshot,’ she wrote on Facebook of White’s performance. She added: ‘Hard to believe but close to a million people have already viewed this beautiful Soul spreading her gift. You’re such a blessing.’

After five days of torrential rain, the latest weather forecast predicts less than an inch of rain and perhaps even sunshine for the Houston area. However, the dangers remain far from over.

Authorities and family members have reported at least 18 deaths from Harvey, while law enforcement agencies say more than 13,000 people have been rescued in the Houston area and surrounding parts of Southeast Texas.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner also implemented a curfew of midnight to 5 a.m. in an apparent response to scattered reports of looting. Police Chief Art Acevedo said violators would be searched and arrested.

Two additional shelters – the Toyota Center and NRG Park – opened to house displaced residents.

Authorities expected the human toll to continue to mount, both in deaths and in tens of thousands of people made homeless by the catastrophic storm that is now the heaviest tropical downpour in US history. In all, more than 17,000 people have sought refuge in Texas shelters, and that number seemed certain to increase, the American Red Cross said. The city’s largest shelter housed 10,000 of the displaced as two additional mega-shelters opened Tuesday for the overflow.  Louisiana’s governor offered to take in Harvey victims from Texas, and televangelist Joel Osteen opened his Houston megachurch, a 16,000-seat former arena, after critics blasted him on social media for not acting to help families displaced by the storm.

Meanwhile, a much-weakened Tropical Storm Harvey was steering into new territory.

Dwayne Breaks Aunt’s Arm Over Playing Gospel Songs

A man who reportedly used a shovel to break his aunt’s left arm after he got upset at her for playing gospel music will be spending the Independence Day holiday in jail after he was denied bail last week in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Dwayne Harrison, 26, of Worrel Crescent, Kington, was denied bail by Parish Judge Chester Crooks on a charge of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
The court heard that, in June, the complainant was at her home, where Harrison also resides, cooking and singing along to gospel music that she was playing when Harrison approached her and said: “Hey gal yuh a mek bare noise a mi head.” The complainant reportedly stopped singing and went outside to throw away water that she had been using to wash raw meat when Harrison again approached her and said: “Hey gyal how yuh a raw up the place suh?”
The complainant in reply reportedly told him: “Dwayne, yuh love too much trouble,” and went back inside her house to finish seasoning her meat.
It is further reported that Harrison went into the kitchen with a shovel and told the complainant: “Hey gyal, a long time mi waa lick yuh dung,” and proceeded to hit her on the arm, causing her to fall. While she was on the ground, Harrison reportedly went over her and used the metal handle of the tool to poke her in her side and also stepped on her head.
The complainant was rescued by relatives who came to her assistance and was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where she was admitted with a broken arm.
Harrison was later arrested and when he was cautioned reportedly told the police: “A nuh mi do it a she fall down.”
Judge Crooks, after hearing the allegations last Friday, asked the complainant if he had any “head problem” and was told no.
Attorney Roxanne Williams, who represented Harrison, then attempted to make a bail application, but Judge Crooks told her that he was not going to consider bail for Harrison at the moment as he needed to see the medical report and was also concerned about the complainant’s safety, given Harrison’s comment about hitting down the complainant.
Harrison was subsequently remanded until August 16.

Pope ‘loves China’, Vatican official says on trip to China

Pope Francis “loves China” and the Vatican hopes China has a great future, a Chinese state-run newspaper on Friday cited a visiting Vatican official as saying, in an expression of goodwill despite strained relations between the two.

Pope Francis would like to heal a decades-old rift with China, where Catholics are divided between those loyal to him and those who belong to a government-controlled official church.

In June, China said it opposed outside interference in its internal affairs after the Vatican expressed concern about a Chinese bishop it said had been “removed”.

Speaking in Beijing where he was attending an organ transplant conference, the head of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, Monsignor Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, expressed the Pope’s goodwill, the state-run Global Times reported.

“Pope Francis loves China and loves the people of China, its history and population. We hope China can have a great future,” the paper quoted him as saying.

In February, China’s Foreign Ministry downplayed the significance of a top health official’s attendance at a Vatican conference on organ trafficking, saying it probably had nothing to do with two-way ties, reports Reuters.

One obstacle to better relations is the question of who should make senior clerical appointments in China.

China says bishops must be named by the Chinese Catholic community and refuses to accept the authority of the pope, whom it sees as the head of a foreign state that has no right to meddle in China’s affairs.

The two sides have been at loggerheads since the expulsion of foreign missionaries from China after the Communists took power in 1949.

Another source of friction is the Vatican’s maintenance of official ties with self-ruled Taiwan, which Beijing sees as a wayward province to be taken back by force if necessary.

Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary’s teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well. Written by Fox Searchlight Pictures

5. Get Out

Be it the early sight of a car pulling up alongside an African-American man, or a photo of an angry dog being held on a tight leash, the color white spells doom in Jordan Peele’s social-commentary horror hit Get Out—albeit ultimately in unexpected ways. Surrounded by his white girlfriend Rose’s (Allison Williams) Obama-loving family and their friends during a weekend getaway at their rural estate, Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) finds himself increasingly uncomfortable, especially after a series of encounters with fellow African-Americans (the household’s staffers, a young boyfriend of a much-older white woman) make him suspect that something is scarily amiss. The story’s climactic revelations are indebted to The Stepford Wives, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Rosemary’s Baby, and yet are given a fresh of-the-moment twist by Peele’s razor-sharp script, which cleverly locates the means by which liberals’ pro-black attitudes function as a type of appropriation-esque intolerance. As impressive as its racial-dynamics critique, however, is its formal dexterity; from its malevolent pacing to its terrifying imagery (especially of “The Sunken Place”), Peele’s directorial debut is a first-rate cinematic nightmare.

Three women arraigned for allegedly raping a pastor

Three women have appeared in court for allegedly raping a pastor in Zimbabwe, A magistrates’ court in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, was told that the women owed the victim certain amount of money and he went to their home to collect it.

It was learnt that they invited him into the house, but once he was inside, he said, he was grabbed around the waist and his trousers were pulled down by a second who then fondled him.

Two of the women are alleged to have held the man down on a bed, while the third execute the sex attack. The women Sandra Ncube, 21, Riamuhetsi Mlauzi, 23, and Mongiwe Mpofu, 25, denied rape, but pleaded guilty to indecent assault.

Prosecutor, Mr. Petros Shoko, said: “On July 14 at 7pm, the complainant went to the accused persons’ residence to collect money which Mlauzi owed.

“They forced him to lie on the bed and undressed him. Ncube sat on his chest and he tried to push her away. However, Mlauzi held his legs together and sat on his top, pressing him against the bed. “Mpofu was in another room and brought condoms and placed them on the complainant’s manhood and helped to hold him down. “Ncube had sexual intercourse with the complainant once without his consent,” Shoko said. Ncube said: “We were just playing around, Your Worship. I did not think that he would take it seriously.”

Mpofu denied taking part but admitted bringing the condoms saying: ‘We keep them around the house and I just brought them’. Mlauzi said she wanted to ‘fix’ the pastor who she claimed had a habit of walking in on the women when they were bathing. She said: ‘He always walks in on me bathing and claims to be unmoved as a man of God. I just wanted to see if he was going to be aroused or not. ‘I did not plan to execute the whole rape thing Your Worship’.

Magistrate Lungile Ncube was told by Mlauzi that she just wanted to prove to the pastor that he had ‘feelings like everybody else’. She said: ‘I wanted him to see that he was not special and was not immune to sexual arousal.

The complainant was taken to Mpilo Central Hospital for a medical examination and the report will be prepared for the magistrates. All three were remanded in custody until August 7 for a full trial.

Its Gospel or Chaos In This Our World – Samuel Oforishe Oghenetejiri

One of Nigeria veteran gospel artists Samuel Oforishe Oghenetejiri on the 1st of July dropped his 4th studio Album ‘Yeshua’. We had a sit down with Samuel and it was quite interesting….

Samuel Oforishe Oghenetejiri Interview

  • Tell us about you, your music foundation and ministry,

I am Samuel Oforishe Oghenetejiri fondly called, Sammy; was born on the 3rd of August in the year 1985 by Sunday Oforishe and Regina Oforishe(indigene of Delta State) in the city of Epe, Lagos State, South-West Nigeria. I started singing at age six, when my parents saw my passion for music, they instructed me to serve as a member of my church children’s choir, (Assemblies of God Church, Ughelli, Delta State, and South- South Nigeria).

I and my younger sister, Deborah Oforishe released an album into the market in the year 1997 while I was 12years old. The album was entitled “Let The Flame Burn” Two years later, while I was 14years old, I and my younger sister released another album entitled, “Glorious Manifestation” in the year 1999. It was this year I started attending different Private Music Coaching programs in order to consolidate on my music skill to combine with my inherent musical gift. During this period, we traveled the length and breadth of Nigeria performing in churches, crusades, and in various musical concerts. In one of these events, I and my younger sister ministered a song alongside Bishop David Oyedepo in 1998 in a city wide crusade organized by the International Headquarters of the Church of God Mission in Benin City, South-South of Nigeria.

Due to the great passion I have which is to impact the world beyond my local environment; I decided to travel out of the shores of Nigeria in the year 2008 to Israel where i was ordained a Deacon by Pastor Enoch Adeboye in the year 2009. I also had the opportunity to minister with Ron Kenoly in a live concert in Tel Aviv 2010. I became an International Corps member of the Chaplain Corps of America in the year 2009. I majored as Music Chaplain. I hosted a tour in east Africa three years ago and just celebrated my 21st year as a music evangelist two years ago; I am currently serving as the National Musical Director of Redeem Christian Church Of God, Israel.

  • How many Albums do you have?

By God’s grace I have 3 albums to my name, two in Nigeria and one in Kenya. God has given me the permission for the Next album that will be out in October titled “Glory to God” the first single of this Album was released on the 1st of July 2017 “Yeshua”

  • Why gospel?

Well it has to be gospel no other kind of music will go with my passion, I am called to affect my generation as a minister of gospel through music and as a result it must be gospel songs, therefore I must be focus and follow my calling to the end. For me Music is like this “are people going to get blessed? I am in, are people going to be saved? I am in, Is it gospel? I am definitely in, anything that is not in this line; I am not interested.

  • The world and the place of gospel and Christianity in today’s world

The World is a definite factor here, because my belief is that without the world there will be no gospel. The gospel exists because of the world which needs the light of God. In the book of Mathew chapter 5 vs 16 “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your works and glorify our father in heaven. Now this light God is talking about here are the Christians of the world. The gospel that we are preaching has light, the gospel is the power of God for salvation, and nothing has changed this facts and truths. Notwithstanding the fact that the world may find it difficult to accept the truth of the gospel of Christ, the gospel has not changed because it is meant to change the world and make it a better place.

  • Gospel music in Africa as against the globe, if you would collaborate with an artist now both foreign and local who would it be?

Gospel music in Africa has improved compared to before when we just sat back and admired the big ministers from other continents and wondered when we were going to have all these big equipment, instruments and gadgets to enhance our sound but glory to God we are living in that dream now. And come to think of it, most of these big ministers abroad want to collaborate with ministers here, big example is Frank Edwards did something great with Don Moen, Nathaniel Bassey more and more names, because they have discovered the new light shining in Africa. I feel it’s a big one and that we can do better, now most ministers in Africa are beginning to do Live recording, before you dare not go there, you dare not even talk about it. But thank God we are better and I believe we can do much ore better, I believe there is room for growth remains.

  • Marketing and business of gospel music how hard/easy has it been for you?

Marketing and business of gospel in Africa is not easy when it comes to funding, because very few people are willing to invest in gospel music. You cannot just release an album or a single and just your family members and a few people will hear it, it is for the world to hear and identify with it and your ministry and for that to happen, you must fund it. Well for me God has been so faithful and I have a great desire to do more because I know he is faithful and he will keep providing.

  • Church reaction to gospel song ministers

I would say averagely well, its rating would only improve when it concerns the big names, I mean those who have made it through. Permit me to say this, if you don’t celebrate what you have, people will not celebrate it. Imagine when a church is having a big program, very big crusade and all they do it invite the big gospel ministers and ignore the upcoming ones in our local parishes, you hear things like “son don’t worry one day your star will shine, one day your will become a name, one day God will bless you” NO the church should start from our local parishes and ministers that are there. More so it should be the responsibility of a man of God to introduce his ministers to other churches thereby promoting their brand, because if we look at some of the big names that have made it was the platform of the church. The church should react better than what we have now.

  • The way forward for gospel music ministry in Nigeria

Way forward is one; there is need for investors to invest because there is lots of gain in investing in gospel music in Nigeria. Secondly we need the big name gospel music ministers to create more platforms, organize more personal events just like what Nathaniel Bassey did last month the Hallelujah Challenge, we need more outreaches like that, because it can serve not just for the fellowship but as an encouragement for young music ministers grow. Invite them to your concerts to minister and give them the opportunity to see things from a higher dimension. Finally I believe the young ministers that are coming up really need to work on their writings, should work more on themselves and sound better, I am not saying they should abandon their vision but to fine-tune their sound to sound the best they can.

  • Final Words

Thank you for granting me this interview, a big appreciation to the management and staff of gospotainment media; to Perry martins I am so grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I hope to meet you again. God bless you.

Marketing And Business Of Gospel Music In Nigeria A Big Challenge – Jennifer Adiele

Today on our “Inside the Act” we will be talking to Nneka Jennifer Adiele a music minister who recently released a single titled Hallelujah, “Hallelujah” is a deep Worship expression of total proclamation of God’s Glory. It’s a song that is ascribed to His awesomeness, love, royalty and how amazing he is. So I had a sit down with Jennifer and it was really an interesting experience….

Having listened to you minister especially at Gospotainment’s Anniversary earlier this year it’s really a pleasure having this conversation with you, So Tell us about you, your music foundation and ministry. Considering your abilities you could have gone to any kind of music why Gospel?

My name is Nneka Jennifer Adiele, I am from Asaba in Delta state, but I’m based in Abuja. I am married with two kids.

Music runs in the family, my parents and grandparents were all good singers, so it was passed on to me and my siblings who are also singers. By the virtue of the fact that while I was growing up my parents introduced us to church, I became born again and joined the choir and developed myself in the music ministry.

I have always taken pleasure in spreading the word of God through gospel music. As a believer and child of God, God has given us a mandate to go into the world and preach the gospel so as an obedient daughter of God and a born again I yielded to the word of my father the creator, that is why I am doing gospel music so that people can hear it repent and get closer to God through worship and even praise.

Let’s Talk About Your Music, you inspiration and style.

Jennifer AdieleSome of my songs are ;’ Hallelujah’, ‘Miracle God’, ‘Man in battle’, ‘Omemma’, ‘Tonuya’, and others that will definitely be coming forth (laughs).

I get my writing inspiration based on my communication with God, sometimes when I’m praying, my quite time or working. One of the reasons I do the kind of songs I do is to get the mind of the people towards God, to inspire the hearts of men and to encourage souls drawing them to God with praise and deep worship.

Gospel music in Nigeria is beginning to pick serious momentum, gaining traction. What has been your experience so far? And your plans for the rest of the year

Well my experience as a gospel artist, it’s not really been easy at all, but as an upcoming artist I still struggle alone without any support of money. But because it’s a passion and I intend to succeed, I put in effort, doing it my little way knowing that God leading me gradually I will get to the top.

For the rest of the year, people should expect more inspirational songs from Jennifer Adiele, that will help encourage souls, giving them hope especially in this season and time that we are in and always giving glory to God.

Considering all the violence going on in the world, even right here in Nigeria what is the place of gospel and Christianity in today’s world?

Gospel music and Christianity has a very big role to play in this world. If you remove gospel and Christianity from today’s world, the world would be in an even bigger chaos. Take for instance the things happening in our world today, you put on the radio or television its bad news everywhere. But gospel music and Christianity is there to curtail all these evil happenings in our world and to bring people to Christ because minus the gospel and Christianity, the world would have been worse than t is now, so I believe the place of Gospel and Christianity in today’s world is to win men/souls to Christ and to make the world better for it in preparation for the rapture.

Gospel music in Africa as against the globe, if you would collaborate with an artist now both foreign and local who would it be ?

Gospel music in Africa comes in verities, in different forms, styles and languages. And every region has its uniqueness which reaches out to people and their needs and also dependent on the way they understand God. Globally, African gospel music is in trend, for instance other countries around the world sing African songs, and they get blessed while we here also sing those foreign songs and also get blessed. Formally it was not so, but right now globally people are beginning to connect to different genre of the gospel music ministry not minding the region its coming from, as long as it’s all about God they are blessed.

Marketing and business of gospel music how hard/easy has it been for you?

Marketing and business of gospel music in Nigeria is a big challenge a very big challenge in the industry because there are very few platforms for it, you have to push your own. You see everybody is struggling, doing their thing, trying to make it for themselves; for lack of funds some go as much as promoting themselves. The society is not helping at all because there is piracy everywhere and it’s a big challenge indeed, truly a big challenge. At least we have Gospotainment to do promotions for us but as you know it does not come for free (Laughs).

Final Words

My final words are that everyone continues to try and put in their best. Everyone may not be for you and you may also not be for everyone, not every song you minister might be for everyone, but just continue to try. Hard work, do the right thing knowing that with God all things are possible when it is time it will spring forth by itself.  Thank You

When The Miracle Rain Comes – Frank Edwards, Kemi Ajumobi Changes The Life Of A Boy

Miracle Rain ; A few days ago I shared a story about a boy a professed fan of Frank Edwards whom Kemi ajumobi had interviewed about life on the streets of Lagos and what he would do differently if he got the opportunity, Well that opportunity has arrived as on the 8th of July 2017 he met his hero.

We know that Frank saw the interview and asked Kemi if she could still locate the young man and bring him to him, the Young boy whose name is Daniel Uchia visited Frank alongside Kemi in his home n Saturday.

Frank Edwards is really a special man, he not only welcomed the boy and feed him but shared a few of his clothing’s with him. this visit was well documented on Instagram and it left many including me teary eyed.

We reached out to both parties (Frank & Kemi) for comments but they declined due to the infancy of what they both see as a long term project. But we at gospotainment will follow this to the end afterall we intend to tap into this outpour  of the “Miracle Rain”.

The song Miracle Rain is Frank’s latest single and there has been testimonies after another since its release.

Inspiration behind Miracle Rain

This song came during the just concluded Hallelujah Challenge. From some of his revelations during the productions process we understand that the inspiration for the song came one early morning in June (which we would like to refer as the Olowogbogboro month) when God instructed him to go out into the rain and pray in tongues.

It has been raining lately in Lagos, Nigeria and even this morning, the day of the song release, its raining, i dear say that it is the rain of blessings and favour. According to the Rock Town Records Chief Executive, Frank ;

Miracle Rain is more than just a song, it speaks of coming rain of miracles and blessings all from the good Hand of God. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to dance in the Miracle Rain. Remain blessed.

Of interest is the cover art, which reminds of back in the days when children go out to play in the rain. NO wonder Jesus said that to enter the Kingdom of heaven one must be like a child. It raining blessing and miracles, download and get yours.

Ghanian Gospel Artist Perpetual Didier Claims Pornography good For Married Couples

Gospel musician, Perpetual Didier has advised married couples to enhance their sexual life through the watching of pornography. The artiste believe watching pornography will add to one’s knowledge to rekindle their sex life.

While we seem to be preaching against pornography and its negative influence in the life of a Christian, a gospel musician who is meant to be a symbol of the life of Christ does not see anything wrong with pornography. You might remember the struggles of one of the worlds most renowned gospel artist Kirk Franklin with pornography and how he got passed it after years of addiction.

She revealed that, couples will get attracted to each other upon seeing erotic pictures and motions in pornographic movie. ‘Fantasy is part of a healthy sex life, and porn adds to the repository of sexy scenarios in our heads. It can also inspire couples to experiment more in the bedroom (or outside of it if that’s where their fantasies lead them)’ she stated.

She further indicated that, couple who engages in such practice stay together for longer period of time.

‘if you and your mate haven’t included pornography in your sexual arsenal, there’s no time like the present because couples that play together, stay together’.

I Stole To Sponsor My Gospel Albulm Claims Nurudeen Ogundairo

A self-acclaimed gospel musician who was arrested by the Ogun police for armed robbery has revealed why he committed the crime. The suspect, Nurudeen Ogundairo was on Tuesday paraded alongside 36 others arrested for various crimes at Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, a team of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, arrested Mr. Ogundairo and his alleged accomplices at their hideout at Joju in Ota

Speaking to Premium Times, Ogundairo who seem to be the leader of the gang said that he took to crime to source money for the production of his maiden album.

‎According to the 28-year-old, who confessed to having been among those who carried out a robbery operation at the private residence in Atan-Ota, said the proposed album was scheduled for launch on July 24.

“I am a gospel musician. I needed money to enable me to produce my maiden album and I got involved in robbery to raise money for the project. In fact, I had picked a date of July 24 to release the album to the public after the production,” he said.

‎The suspect, who was arrested with two of his accomplices, identified as Tunde Joseph and Ganiu Ajibode, said he regretted his action after spending over two months in detention.

“I hope I can still be forgiven by the police and God over my action. It was in a bid to make headway in my musical career that I took to robbery,” he stated

The Gospotianment crew is definitely actively investigating, to find out if there is any truth to Nurudeen Ogundairo’s claim to being a gospel artist. Which brings the question why does a child of God think stealing is the best way to spread the gospel?

Derek Carr to Tithe 10 Percent of $125 Million Contract; Franklin Graham Praises ‘Boldness’ of NFL Star

Derek Carr – the highest-paid player in NFL history – has said the “first thing” he’s going to do with the $125 million from his contract extension with the Oakland Raiders is pay his tithing, garnering the praise of Christian leader Franklin Graham.
“The first thing I’ll do is pay my tithe like I have since I was in college,” Carr told CBS Sports after joking about spending money on Chick-fil-A. “Giving $700 on a scholarship check. That won’t change. I’ll do that.”

He added, “The exciting thing for me, money-wise, honestly, is that this money is going to help a lot of people. I’m very thankful to have it and it’s in our hands because it’s going to help people, not only in this country, but in countries all around the world.”
Tithing is the practice of giving 10 percent of what you receive to the church, as instructed in Leviticus 27:30 – “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.”
The Wildcard notes that while 10 percent does not seem like much to most Christians, for Carr, it’ll be $12.5 million over the five-year contract.
“I’m not stingy,” the QB said. “My business manager will probably be on me saying, ‘Hey man, that’s enough.’ I won’t get into when, how or why. It’s not all about that for me. It’s about making a difference. That’s what’s exciting for me is that we’ll be able to do that.”

Derek Carr’s generosity earned the praise of evangelist Franklin Graham, who took to Facebook to applaud the NFL star.
“Derek isn’t ashamed to talk about His walk with Jesus Christ–I appreciate his boldness!” wrote Graham.
Carr is outspoken about his faith, and on his Twitter page describes himself in this way: “Follower of Jesus Christ, Husband, Father and Oakland Raider #RaiderNation What they call work, I call worship!”

Carr said earlier, “I have a very strong faith in God. He is the reason I play football. He has given me this special talent and I want to use it to glorify Him. I am grateful for the opportunity to further His kingdom by sharing my faith on and off the football field. At any moment, any second, my football career could be taken away, but my faith and relationship with God will never be taken from me.”

In the past, the athlete has also stated that the “three most important things in my life are faith, family and football.”
In a video released by The Increase Stories in 2014, Carr shared his conversion experience: “I think Christ really became real to me when my wife [who was a friend at the time] . . . wrote me a letter, and it said ‘You’re not the person that I thought you were,'” Carr said in the video.

Convicted, the NFL star apologizing to his wife and his football team for not being true to his Christian beliefs.
“You guys know what I’ve been doing. I’m a Christian, and I haven’t been living it. . . . I’m a Christian now, and I’ve asked God for his forgiveness. Now, watch how I live my lifestyle,” he said in the video
