American Gospel artist and multiple award winner, Travis Greene has solidarity with Nigerians in the fight against police brutality under the #EndSARS umbrella.
The #ENDSARS movement started as a widespread wave of online protests which then led to physical peaceful protests organized by Nigerian youth across many states.
The movement has gone beyond domestic shores, to involving diasporeans and other members of the International Community.
A number of Nigerian artists including Frank Edwards, Freke Umoh, and Tim Godfrey to name a few, have taken to social media to express solidarity with the Nigerian youth. They have also been on protest grounds to show support.
The #EndSARS protests took a gruesome turn when on the night of Tuesday, 20th October 2020, armed soldiers were deployed at the main protest ground in Lagos to disperse peaceful protesters, resulting in many deaths.
Travis Greene, in solidarity to the cause took to his Twitter and posted:
#EndSARS
We continually pray for the peace of God during these times.
