A powerful move of God is sweeping Hillcrest Baptist Church in Swainsboro, Georgia as part of its ongoing Swainsboro Revival services.
Evangelist D.R. Harrison, the featured speaker at the event, told CBN News that over 200 people have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, with a majority of them being between the ages of 13 and 20.
“The pastor called back earlier in the year and invited us to come, and they’d been praying and seeking the face of God, and from the first service, the Power of God began to fall in this town,” Harrison shared.
“And literally, teenagers are coming from everywhere, from all backgrounds, social statuses, high school, middle school, and the church is literally packed out with teens every night, searching for hope in Jesus Christ,” he added.
Harrison continued noting that some youth have responded to their new life in Christ by letting go of the things pertaining to their former lives.
“We’ve experienced kids laying their drugs on the altar, their vapes on the altar, and then immediately after getting saved, going out and standing on the streets, holding signs, saying, ‘Jesus loves you,’ ‘Jesus changed my life,’ ‘Come to Revival and help yourself’,” he shared.
“I mean just it’s unbelievable what God is doing in these young people in this town of Swainsboro, Georgia,” he added.
Harrison then noted that this revival is like nothing he has ever seen before.
“I’ve seen some great revivals in the last four years since being saved, but I’ve never personally seen God move among young people like he’s doing in this town … It literally is amazing to see,” he said.
In light of the pandemic, the church is taking precautionary measures by offering masks and sanitation centers to its attendees, while also having a section for people to practice social distancing.
According to the church’s Facebook page, it is currently in its fourth week of Swainsboro, Georgia revival services held inside of the church building. On Jan 11, services will continue, but outdoors in a big tent.
