Award-Winning contemporary gospel hit-maker Kris Erroh on Tuesday in an unfeigned Instagram post opened up on how he became depressed when everything seemed out of place.
According to him, things became very complicated because life was really taking a tour on him.
“Nothing seemed worth fighting for, nothing was worth the stress, the hustle. Had been frustrated for months…paid for three music videos, shot none, something always came up.
He also admitted shutting himself away from people and social activities by locking himself up in his house for months.
“Mama wasn’t doing well and soon enough, I locked myself in my house for two months. No shows. No fellowship. No church. No nothing. I used to see everyone else flourish… sit on the sidelines and see y’all post Glam pics… Yani guys, There was no light at the end of this tunnel.
Kris Erroh noted that things continued for him like that until Yo Alex sent him an instrumental that became the turning point for him.
“Everything seemed messy until brother @yoalexproducer sent me an instrumental and he said I had to get on it. Guys, I didn’t even have a net to download it. I was at my lowest.
When I got to download this instrumental… I won’t lie, this Man had tears in his eyes. I played it the whole night!!! Over and over, over and over. In the morning. I woke up, went for a walk… sang the whole song in my head. By the time I got back, I just called Yo and told him am ready. He couldn’t believe it.
If there is anything that helped Kris get over his ordeal, it is the fact that he took some time to count his blessings and be grateful for the little things that God has blessed him with. In his own words Kris says:
“Man, I was a mess. But God turned it to a message. I sat down and remembered all the good that the Lord has done… My family, My friends, The gift of music and also being one of the most outstanding acts from my country…and realized it’s all by Grace. From then on, I sank myself in the studio. My music is different, I prophesy in my music, I praise in my music, I worship in my music, I use it as my therapy and an outlet.
It was in the course of this ugly, but a life-changing experience that the idea for his song BLESSINGS came.
