Pioneering Gospel superstar Kirk Franklin continues a banner year of highlights with his most recently-released album “LOSING MY RELIGION”,his chart-topping eleventh studio album released in November 2015.In addition to his Billboard Music Award nomination for Top Gospel Artist,“LOSING MY RELIGION” is nominated in the Top Gospel Album category, and his record-breaking, GRAMMY-winning hit single “Wanna Be Happy?” is nominated in the Top Gospel Song category.
In addition to his nomination for Top Gospel Artist, acclaimed gospel superstar and pastor, Marvin Sapp garners a Billboard Music Award nomination in the Top Gospel Album category, for his 2015 album “You Shall Live”. “You Shall Live” is Sapp’s tenth solo album and marked his fourth #1 gospel album debut.
Along with his nomination for Top Gospel Artist,upcoming star Travis Greene garners a Billboard Music Award nomination in the Top Gospel Song category,for his #1 hit single “Intentional”.The GRAMMY-nominated “Intentional”
was released as the first single from his chart-topping major label debut album THE HILL.
The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will take place on Sunday May 22, 2016,airing live from Las Vegas at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
