At some point, we all have to take one decision or the other. Some complicated and some uncomplicated. We can never escape that aspect of our lives. Even Jesus had to make a decision when He was faced with the dread of what He would go through in the hands of the Pharisees and Sadducees before His death. Decision making is normal to humans.
Making decisions requires wisdom, direction and sound judgement. Wisdom to know what to do at the right time, Direction or should I say counsel. Counsel from your friends and counsellors and most importantly from the ALMIGHTY. This could come personally or through some other channels like your Pastor, mentors etc. and sound judgement. Sound judgement is your ability to access a particular situation and draw sound conclusion.
Exercising these elements when making a decision is key to being happy afterwards. Weigh all pros and cons. Don’t hesitate to think it over and over again. Be careful to wait and listen to your inner man. Observe your surrounding and environment because they could be a pointer to what you need to do. Be very sensitive because sometimes that voice of wisdom is usually still and small.
Whatever you do never separate decision-making from your faith. God helps His children make sound decisions. He has been doing it and will continue to do it because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The likes of people who constantly sought counsel when making decisions were David, Moses, Joshua to mention but a few.
Whatever you decide don’t implement until you have rest in your spirit and you know you are doing the right thing. Play the decision over and again in your head and speculate the effect in reality. Play the other option also and try same procedure. I pray that as you make that decision whether great or small, that God will guide you and give you the inspiration to make the best choice.
