Prolific Nigerian Gospel music artiste Nathaniel Bassey has announced the release of his sixth album titled The King Is Coming. The Hallelujah Challenge host took to Instagram to announce what has now become the most anticipated Gospel album in Nigeria as the year draws to a close. The Onise Iyanu singer posted a photo of him kneeling on one knee holding his trademark trumpet writing “…Something Big Lands!” He also wrote “You are entering 2020 armed with mighty songs” before revealing the album title.
The post drew comments from several Gospel music stars along with several celebrities like Mairo Ese, David Nkennor and Glowreeyah Braimah who recently released her sophomore album, The Core. Others who commented on the post are Kike Mudiaga, Folabi Nuel, Chee and actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande. All were excited about the album as were the other hundreds of people who commented on the post.
With albums like Someone’s At The Door, The Son of God, This God is Too Good, Revival Flames and his last full length project, Jesus: The Resurrection & the Life all of which have what some would call classic Gospel songs, Nathaniel Bassey has one of the most acclaimed discography in African Gospel music in terms of quality and impact and we cannot wait for The King Is Coming.
