Multi-Award winning Singer/Humanitarian, Nikki Laoye has just unveiled the new logo of one of the pet projects under her foundation, Angel 4 Life Foundation as she immortalizes her late father, Prince Isaac Olushola Laoye, who would have been a year older today, the 4th of August.

The project, which has been running for over 3 years and supports the education of physically challenged youths was formerly called “Teach-A-Child” Project and has now been renamed after her late father as “THE ISAAC OLUSHOLA EDUCATIONAL PROJECT – IOEP” (For Students with Disablities).

Speaking about this project, Nikki Laoye said “My Dad,just like his name – Isaac- always brought joy and laughter to everyone around him and I believe it’s symbolic to name a project, that does exactly the same, in his memory. He was a major pillar of support behind my music and everything I am today, this will certainly keep his legacy alive as we work hard to ensure an inclusive education environment for people with disabilities and give them the extra support they need to live a self-sufficient life and also achieve their dreams and goals as well.”

The singer’s father passed away in her arms on the 3rd of August in 2011, a day to his 60th birthday, after a prolonged illness.
The only daughter and her Dad’s favorite, Nikki Laoye released the award winning ballad, ONLY YOU in his memory, celebrating the unconditional love between father and child. The song has won over six awards including Headies, AGMA(UK), NMVA, AFRIMA since its release in 2013.

Founded in 2010, Nikki Laoye’s Angel 4 Life foundation is presently providing scholarships, skills empowerment and mobility assistance to a number of visually impaired and physically challenged youths in Secondary and Tertiary Institutions across Nigeria.

Renowned for her caring heart and humanitarian projects, Nikki Laoye has won humanitarian awards including the 234 Giver Award in 2013 and the Ambassador of Charity Award in 2014.

Last year, she was unveiled as a Celebrity Advocate for Refugees and IDPS by the Federal Government Agency, NFCRMI Southwest (National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons) in Lagos and helping to create awareness to their plight and needs.
Through her foundation’s Angel Relief Fund, many displaced families affected by the Boko Haram attacks in Northern Nigeria are presently receiving relief aid, educational support, food and clothes as they rebuild their lives at IDP camps.

She is also an Action 2015 Ambassador, working with the Save The Children Organisation (Nigeria), to help address the United Nation’s Millenium Development Goals for Children in Nigeria.

In further celebration of her Dad’s life today – 4th of August, Nikki Laoye calls for donations and support for the challenged students being empowered by the IOEP Project.
