“Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.” (Luke 8: 44)That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. One good move that the woman with the issue of blood made was that she touched Jesus with a reason. She didn’t belong in the same group as the multitude that merely pushed as others pushed. She touched Him with a reason; she touched the hem of His garment with an expectation; she came with a desired result as she encountered Jesus, and that was what she left with. She was intentional with her desires.Friend, as you seek uncommon results from the Master, be intentional with your desires and expectations. Be definite with your expectations; have an expected result in mind as you approach Jesus; come to Jesus with an understanding that you are linked to the Creator of the universe; come with an expectation of what you want the power of God to do for you and in you; come with an expectation of what you want from Jesus. Some people preferred to follow Jesus, either as observers, or as men without expectations; the woman with the issue of blood came with one expectation, she came with an expected result in mind, and she got it. In this season, don’t be a mere observer of the works of Christ. Don’t be an advertiser of what Jesus did without being a participant. Don’t be content to see Jesus show up for others without showing up for you.Nothing much was heard of what Jesus did for the multitude; but the story of the woman with the issue of blood appeared in different accounts of the Gospel of Christ. She was intentional in her encounter with Jesus, and her results shone brighter than the entire multitude. Dare to be intentional as you seek Jesus; come with expectations as you encounter Jesus; come with the expectation that your ‘issue of blood’ is His assignment.Remember, the multitude that followed Jesus without expectations had nothing to show for their following. Be Intentional with Jesus, and you shall have uncommon results. Declare With Me: I come to Jesus with expectations; my results shall exceed my expectations, in Jesus’ name!Follow on Instagram @jerry_ezeFollow on Twitter @jerrystreams
