“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” (Luke 5: 4)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When Jesus was done speaking to the multitude at the Lake of Gennesaret, He instructed Peter to launch out into the deep. Jesus spoke the word of the Lord first, and then He gave a command for an action that would birth results. God’s word came before the miracle came. Jesus spoke the word of the Lord, and all the fishes in the Lake of Gennesaret heard His voice and gathered in Peter’s net. The word of the Lord brought the miracle. The word created an atmosphere for the miracle.
Friend, use the word of God and create an atmosphere of miracles around you. Speak God’s word until it attracts what you are looking for. Confess the word of the Lord until it births the realities you are seeking. Activate the word of the Lord as you seek results. Speak the word of the Lord to the ‘fishes’ in your Lake. Speak the word of the Lord until the conspiracies of men bow to you. Speak the word of the Lord until it works for your good.
In the atmosphere of the word of the Lord, everything is possible. Even the most difficult of circumstances bow when they hear the word of the Lord. The altars of evil that may have resisted you in time past cannot resist the word of the Lord. The difficulties of the past are made easy in the atmosphere of the word. The miracles that may not have happened in the past will come by the power of God’s word.
Don’t make the mistake of creating an atmosphere of worries when you should be speaking and declaring the counsel of the Lord. Don’t make the mistake of allowing the report of men to take your eyes and ears off the report of the Lord. Don’t make the mistake of accepting an atmosphere that contradicts the word of the Lord. Be intentional in creating an atmosphere of the word that is able to create an atmosphere of miracles.
Remember, it began with the word, but it ended in a miracle. Keep speaking the word of the Lord, and it will birth the miracles you need.
Hebrews 4: 12 says: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
