“Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2: 7)That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, Jesus ordered the servants at the marriage feast to fill the waterpots with water; He specifically ordered them to fill the waterpots to the brim. The waterpots were not going to be half filled; they were to be filled to the brim. Jesus demanded that efforts be made until the waterpots were filled to the brim. Jesus was not prepared for half measures; He demanded a full measure of efforts and service from the servants.Friend, fill your ‘waterpots’ to the brim. Make your impact and efforts maximal; let your service be without blemish; let your scorecard speak of excellence; let your work be thorough; let it be said that you always do all that you should have done; let it be said that your stewardship and efficiency is excellent; don’t be that man that could fill a ‘waterpot’ but prefers to leave it half filled; don’t make efforts and stop halfway. The season of half filled waterpots, is over; the season of service in half measures, is over; the season of incomplete efforts, is over; the season of doing less instead of more, is over; the season of operating at a mediocre level, is over; the season of offering average services instead of excelling in full, is over; the season of haphazard performances at your duty post, is over; the season of uncompleted assignments, is over.Notice that the miracle did not happen until the waterpots were filled to the brim. A new, unprecedented divine manifestation did not happen until the waterpots were filled. What if God has been waiting to show you His goodness and mercy on a new level, but your half filled waterpots keep hindering Him? What if the half measures in your service to God and at your duty post is the reason why you have not accessed uncommon results? If you ever have an opportunity to do more, don’t do less. If you have a chance to fill your ‘waterpots’, don’t leave it half filled.Proverbs 22: 29 says: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”Declare With Me: I will fill my ‘waterpots’ to the brim; no more half measures, in Jesus’ name!Follow on Instagram @jerry_ezeFollow on Twitter @jerrystreams
