JEHOVAH GAVE MORE

“…Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God.”
(1 Samuel 9: 27)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Before Saul met Samuel, He went in search of his father’s asses, but when he met Samuel, he got the good news that God had chosen him to be king. He went in search of asses, but he found more than asses: he found kingship. He got more than what he set out to achieve; Jehovah gave him more than he asked.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: in 2016, Jehovah will give you more than you ask for. God will give you answers that exceed your prayers; God will cause you to have more than you ever imagined you would have; God will open more doors than you asked for; God will give you more options than you asked for; God will cause you to have a year full of more. God will give you more than you could ever ask or imagine.

It wasn’t man that gave Saul kingship; God made arrangements to make him king. He didn’t even ask to be made king, but he became king. God will orchestrate a chain of events that will make your promotion and upliftment inevitable. You may not even be planning for it, but God says, it is coming.

When men give, they give according to what they have; when God gives, He gives according to Who He is and what He can give. This year, get set to receive according to what God can give. It’s not about what you can do for yourself; it’s about what God can do for you.

Be expectant; enlarge your barns; get ready for a massive harvest of testimonies that will sound like a lie; get set to receive loads of testimonies from the God that cannot lie. Get ready: Jehovah will give you more than you could ever ask for.
