TB Joshua the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN is undeniably a global brand. Emmanuel TV is probably one of the most famous satellite channels in the world as it’s watched by millions. TB Joshua recently made headlines when he announced his intentions to immigrate to Israel, because he feel his ministry is the most prosecuted in the whole world.
On his Pilgrimage to Israel where he met with the mayor of Jerusalem and other prominent Israeli figures. “This is where my Father in Heaven came from, it is non negotiable.” This declaration caused uproar from both his followers and non followers.
This could be interpreted just as another comment by a man of God about the land of promise or this could mean the relocation of one of the most prominent and out spoken men of God in Nigerian, also adding weight to this thought is the fact that we learnt that authorities in Tel Aviv have already allocated land and certain facilities to him somewhere not far from Sea of Galilee.
Can we say that the bible verse “A prophet is without honor in his own country” can be applied to Pastor TB Joshua? Considering he is readily slaughtered in the media for things sometimes beyond his control, made mockery of and not to mention the nay Sayers. What does (if he leaves) mean for a country like ours (Nigeria) where we already need divine intervention to lose one of the better intervenes? .
This is not a fan page for the man of God but an honest observation. I have not met him in person, but I have gone past the Synagogue here in Lagos and I have also heard and seen how generous this man is, having been listed at one time among one of the 50 most influential people in Africa, I believe pastor TB Joshua is one who deserves our respect.
Remember though Israel might be a place of pilgrimage for Christians its quite UN- Christian, filled more with Jews than Christians maybe we (Nigeria) will be doing the Israelite a favor in LENDING them one of our own. I hope Please Pastor TB Joshua does not leave us (Nigeria,) we still need your and every other Nigerian pastors’ prayers yet.
