“And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.” (Luke 5: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Peter realized that what he received from the Lord was too much for his ship to deal with. Peter beckoned on his partners who brought their ship, and soon, both ships were filled with fishes. Peter received a miracle beyond the capacity of his ship. He received a miracle that was too much for his capacity. He received an overflowing miracle.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you have entered into your overflow season. You are about to start receiving more than enough. You shall have more than your capacity can carry. You shall have more than your access level can power. You shall have more clients than the capacity of your business. You shall have more than you have ever received. You shall have more than the environment would ordinarily yield.
Peter may have been a successful fisherman before that moment; he had probably caught just enough to fill his ship. He was accustomed to a level of success, but when Jesus got involved, he got a result that was way above his familiar results. He got a result that was higher than the ordinary. Get set: you are about to receive results that are above the ordinary. You shall have results that will outshine your best ever past results.
Jesus showed up, and Peter transited from having nothing to having more than enough. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in this season, you shall have more than enough. Your results shall be more than enough; your resources shall be more than enough; your profits shall be more than enough; your breakthroughs shall be more than enough; your favours shall be more than enough; your increase shall be more than enough.
Welcome to the season of more than enough. You may have had just enough or not enough in time past; but in this season, you shall have more than enough.
Psalm 66: 12 NIV says: “You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.”
