“And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.” (Luke 5: 3)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus entered into a ship belonging to Peter, and He sat in that ship and taught the multitude. There were two ships standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, but Jesus chose the one that belonged to Peter. There was another ship that Jesus could have chosen, but He chose the one that belonged to Peter. Jesus had options, but He seemed to prefer the ship of Peter. Peter’s ship was considered first.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be considered first. You will be chosen ahead of your contemporaries and competitors. You will be chosen ahead of those who are seeking the same opportunities you seek. You will be chosen ahead of those who may even be more qualified to be chosen ahead of you. You will be preferred amidst of options. You will be chosen first.
Get set: in this season, your business will be considered first. Your applications will be considered first. Your proposals will be considered first. Your abilities will be considered first. Your propositions will be considered first. Your ventures will be considered first. Men will bypass others just to favour you. Some people who could be chosen will be ignored in order to favour you. You will be preferred, and chosen early, ahead of others.
Peter did not even make any effort to be chosen by Jesus. He was on his own when Jesus showed up and chose his ship for an all important assignment that later attracted a blessing. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be on your own and you will be chosen. You will be on your own and you will be selected for higher levels. You will be on your own and you will be preferred. You will be on your own and favour will locate you for relevance.
When Jehovah is involved, He breaks the protocols of men to make you have the best. Ask God to position you as one that will be chosen first. Ask God to cause you to be considered first.
Psalm 90: 14 says: “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
Declare With Me: I will be considered first, in Jesus’ name!
