Six-time GRAMMY nominee and platinum-selling artist Tauren Wells can add some new hardware to his collection, taking home two awards at the 2020 Dove Awards – Contemporary Christian Music Artist of the Year, and Pop / Contemporary Album of the Year for Citizen of Heaven.
The now six-time Dove Award winner joined Jekalyn Carr, Christine D’Clario, and Jenn Johnson for a historic multi-genre performance of Tauren’s track “Famous For (I Believe).”
In a video post shared on Instagram, Tauren says, “
I’m so grateful for all of the incredible people that make up the Gospel Music Association.
They recognized the work of so many creative geniuses that labor relentlessly to deliver music that builds people’s faith.
Perhaps we’ve needed this music now more than ever. Thank you to all of the musicians, songwriters, and engineers who masterfully elevated Citizen of Heaven. I’m humbled and blown away to receive these two Dove awards.”
