A Nigerian gospel music minister, songwriter, and worship leader. Deacon Efosa is known for his heartfelt and inspiring songs that promote worship, faith, and spiritual growth.
The music ministry of Deacon Efosa is focused on creating an atmosphere of worship and intimacy with God. His songs are characterized by their evocative lyrics, serene melodies, and deep sense of respect. Fans of Afro-fusion and gospel music are in for a treat as Efosa Odaro, better known by his stage name Deacon Efosa, has released his eagerly awaited debut single, “Super Power” (also called “Power Pass Power”). With its Amapiano elements, this dynamic Afro-fusion gospel track is poised to redefine the sound of modern gospel music and bring a new voice to the genre.

The Deacon is not your normal gospel performer. With a distinctive, genre-bending style, his music conveys a message of empowerment and hope while bridging the gap between spiritual inspiration and vibrant African sounds.
Efosa recorded his first song as an amateur in Badagry in 2002, marking the beginning of his musical career. He was exposed to reggae and calypso music at a young age, and his uncle, who was skilled at rewriting songs’ lyrics, served as his first source of inspiration. While attending Federal Government College, Efosa performed at school functions and rewrote well-known songs with fresh lyrics, continuing his uncle’s legacy. He initially focused on secular music, and Tupac and other artists had a big influence on him.
His love of writing songs ultimately resulted in his first song being recorded, which was supported by his aunt and officially launched his music career. A group called Big Boys was formed by Deacon Efosa and his friend J Money while they were students at the University of Port Harcourt. They released an album called That Kind Thing. Efosa left music in 2013 as a result of the project’s failure to gain traction due to production-related technical issues.
Efosa stayed true to his faith during his break from music and was ordained as a deacon in Christ Embassy, a ministry he has been involved with since he was a teenager. He concentrated on serving God from 2013 to 2022, but everything changed in 2024. A divine message called Efosa to return to music, not for fame but to use his songs to exalt God and share the gospel.

Super Power is currently accessible on all of the main streaming services.
Super Power is one of the standout songs from Efosa’s collection of gospel songs, which was recorded in December 2024. The transformation, healing, and triumphs that come from faith are reflected in Super Power, which is inspired by the extraordinary authority and miraculous power in Jesus’ name. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s quarterly programs, in which he showcases the power of the Holy Spirit in action, are a major influence on the song.
Super Power is an anthem of God’s might and the authority that followers of Jesus have, with its alluring Afro-fusion sound and catchy Amapiano groove. While reminding listeners that God can work miracles, such as opening blind eyes, raising the dead, and changing lives, this song will have them dancing.
The music of Deacon Efosa has changed many lives by offering listeners solace, motivation, and spiritual sustenance. Additionally, his ministry has benefited numerous churches, gatherings, and conferences.
