Years ago around 2011, a new voice burst into the gospel music scene, his name, Tim Godfrey and the entrance song was Agidigba. He sounded like a mixture of Sammie Okposo and Timaya but he was unique.
Tim came with a lot of energy and by the time we saw and heard his later songs, he looked and sounded like a bootleg African version of Kirk Franklin. Since then, we have been singing Agidigba. It became a church anthem, every concert was not complete without it, every church service had to have some ‘Agidigba’.
Today, Tim Godfrey has metamorphosized into a music icon, hosting one of Africa’s largest gospel music concert hosted by an artist – FEARLESS. He has collaborated with many local and international music ministers. His monster international hit Nara featuring American gospel music sensation Travis Greene took it to a whole new level. He recently released another powerful worship tune TOYA, this time featuring Alpha and Omega crooner Israel Houghton.
Here is a little throwback to Agidigba.
