If the number of Christians in each country was measured by how big churches are, it won’t be a surprise for Nigeria to have the highest number of Christians as the top 3 biggest auditoriums in the world are found in Nigeria.
Nigeria is known to be the most populated country in Africa and a Christian nation strongly engaged in the affairs of God.
Below is a list of the largest church auditoriums and their capacities in Nigeria.
1. Salvation Ministries
The first Church on our list is Salvation Ministries. Called Hand of God Cathedral, built this year 2020, the auditorium capacity is 120,000, it is found in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The general overseer of Salvation Ministries is Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
2. Dunamis International Gospel Centre
Next on our list is Glory Sanctuary Dome of Dunamis International Gospel Centre built in 2018 with the capacity of 100,000 seats found in Abuja Nigeria. The general overseer of Dunamis is Pastor Paul Eneche who was mentored by Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church.
3. Champions Royal Assembly
Champions Royal Assembly found in Abuja, Nigeria. With the capacity of 80,000 built in 2015. The Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly is Joshua Iginla.
4. Living Faith Church
The fourth church on our list is Faith Tabernacle of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel. It has the fifth biggest auditorium in the world after São Polo in Brazil with capacity of 50,000 seats. Located in Lagos Nigeria buit in 1999. The general overseer of Living Faith Church is Bishop David O. Oyedepo mentored by Pastor Enoche Adeboye and late Bishop Benson Idahosa.
5. Word Of Life Bible Church
With the capacity of 35,000 seats, Word of Life Bible Church is the next world biggest church auditorium. Built in 2014 found in Warri, Nigeria with general overseer being Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.
6. Deeper Life Bible Church
Deeper life Bible Church Lagos, Nigeria comes in the sixth position with 30,000 capacity built in 2018. The general overseer is Pastor W.F Kumuyi.
