Nigerian gospel music singer and minister, Dunsin Oyekan remembers his late wife on the occasion of the first year anniversary of her passing. Yesterday, Monday 18th May, 2020, made it a year since the gospel minister had taken to social media to post “GOD IS GOOD”, with friends sending in condolences upon her passing.
The worshiper, and his wife were married for six years from February 2, 2013 to her passing on May 18th, 2019. Much details of the circumstances under which his late wife passed away, remained unrevealed. It was gathered however, that she had been briefly ill. His song, “I WILL FOLLOW“, was released shortly after her passing.
On his Instagram page yesterday, May 18th, 2020, the minister said in a post:
A year today… dear wife, keep resting… the children and I are standing strong on the word of the LORD… We know HE is faithful and all HE does is GOOD!
GOD IS STILL GOOD…. The pain of transition is great but it’s purpose is Greater!
This attests to the strength and depth of faith in God which Dunsin Oyekan possesses by the grace of God, which teaches us that even when we go through a tough season, and when it seems like life is throwing us into serious storms, and unpleasant situations, GOD IS STILL GOOD. And that is the message that the minister wants everyone to take away from the whole situaton.
In these trying times, it is important to hold on to the fact that God is good no matter what. And we should also exercise our faith in God by choosing to follow God no atter what. It is our prayer that God continually abides with the family of Dunsin Oyekan. Amen.
