The 2015 Alabanza the third of its kind in Nigeria was held at the City of David, Victoria Island Lagos on the 11th of September.
This festival of Music and worship was hugely attended as worshipers and Artistes from far and near were in attendance amongst who was Kierra Sheard a Grammy awards also featured other artist like UCHE AGU as well as multi-award winning artistes from Nigeria – Enkay & Tehila Crew, Sammie Okposo, Nikki Laoye, Chiika 100%, Nathaniel Bassey, Onos, Pita, Anny.Efe Nathan, Bukola Bekes, Tony Adoki, Dc Prolifix, Enitan Adaba, Bola Udom, Voices In Zion And Apostles, Sound Of Heaven And The Psalmists.
The event officially started at 8 pm with the red carpet in full drive, ministrations by members of the City of David choir and other individual performances. The first hit performance of the night was done by Chika 100% who had the audience on their feet; other acts came up like Onos, Tony Adoki, Enitan Adaba, Enkay&Tehila crew and Anne who in spite of ill health took to the stage to thrill the worshipers.
But the anticipation of the Award winning Kierra Sheard was finally over as she stepped on stage and it was miraculous, singing her famous ‘indescribable’ and also doing a piece ‘Flaws’ from her new album, the crowd roared with shouts of appreciation as she danced some popular Nigerian moves.
Sammie Okposo brought down to the African scene and the event came to its authentic climax with a soul filling ministration by Nathaniel Bassey, performing his new hit single ‘this God is too good’.
The 2015 Alabanza was a huge success and we are already looking forward to the next event and by Gods grace 2016 will be even more than what we have seen since the inception of Alabanza .
