American gospel and contemporary christian music artist and minister, Israel Houghton, celebrates his birthday this year. The singer and songwriter with angelic vocals turned 49 years of age on Tuesday, May 19th, 2020.
For his birthday this year, he shared an IGTV video via his Instagram page. He also posted a message under the video and here is what he said:
I realize after 49 years on this planet called earth that I’m not great at looking back and reminiscing. But I am ever facing forward.
Today I start a new 365 day journey around the sun. I’m truly grateful and appreciative of my life. Any DAY with @adriennebailon is worth a thousand days elsewhere. Thank God for my life and the daily quality of it.

Israel Houghton is also a producer and has produced a variety of songs and albums, both for himself and other artists as well. The album “Bigger Than My Imagination” by artist Michael Gungor, was produced entirely by Israel Houghton and was described in 2003 as one of the best worship albums of that year.
Houghton is known for such notable songs as “FRIEND OF GOD” and “HOSANNA” which have since become international gospel anthems. He has also won six GRAMMY awards in recognition of his contribution to Christian music.
