Singing is the activity of performing songs or tunes by making musical sounds with the voice, it is about the soul, spirit and body connected to God, which can only take someone with a strong relationship with God to pull off in real spirit.
A person who is authorized to conduct worship; someone singing to the glory of God are also called Ministers. Singers are called Ministers of God because they are expected to be filled with holy spirit while singing; paving way for God during the moment of worship making him to be able to speak through them and bless people.
There are Singers who move the spirit of the Lord no matter how or when they sing, when they open their mouth and say a word, the spirit of God is moved. There are also Singers who tends to enjoy singing or have a lovely voice but do not worship in spirit and in truth; which is the essential way to worship and is the only way worship can be accepted.
Do not sing only because you enjoy singing or because you have a lovely voice
Matthew 15: 8-9 These people draw near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandment of men
Singers should sing in spirit and in truth so that spirit of God is moved during the process of worship and people are touched; feeling the presence of God, so their soul is hungry for more
John 4: 23 But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the father in spirit and truth, for such the father seeks to worship him
Singing to God in spirit and in truth enrich our worship to him and it’s definitely depends on the hour we spend praying before singing.
