Nigerian gospel music minister and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, celebrates his birthday today! He is one of Nigeria’s most renowned gospel musicians today.
He is one of the biggest gospel music exports from Nigeria to the world with nearly 2 million social media following and a catalogue of beautiful, spirit filled worship songs.
He burst into national renown with the release of his songs, Imela, Onise Iyanu and others but he became a global sensation with his midnight praise and prayer event tagged Hallelujah Challenge which took social media by storm as well as the attention of international media.
He was born into a devout Christian family with his father, Mr E Joshua Bassey being a pastor in The Apostolic Church, Bashua Assembly.
He grew up with a strong passion for music, particularly the Jazz music genre, with the likes of gospel music icon, Dr Panam Percy Paul inspiring him to give it a trial and he has ever since, blessed and impacted lives positively for God’s Kingdom.
He studied International Relations at the University of Lagos before proceeding to study Politics in London.
He is married with beautiful children to the glory of God.
