James Ikemefuna a popular Gospel artiste known as Skidd, has every reason to be thankful as he was saved from being gushed by fire on Saturday the 5th of September 2015 while driving his car along the Lekki phase 1 toll gate. Skidd who lost his wife to a car crash last year, almost followed suit but was saved by the grace of God and the fast thinking and feet of Nigerians around.
Telling his story Skidd said “Tell me..when was the last time you shared a testimony on the goodness of our GOD? When was the last time you said thank you to JESUS for the millions of things HE does for you ? I have a testimony to share on how the LORD delivered me from an attack by the devil at 9.15 pm on Saturday the 5th of September, 2015 after we finished celebrating the birthday of my anointed son..King Solomon.
I believe that this testimony will strengthen your faith in the Power In the NAME above all Names.
I was driving my Range Rover jeep and as I waited in queue to pay the toll fare at the Lekki Phase 1 toll gate, I smelt smoke in the car. I also noticed that people were pointing at my car. I could not wind down as the car is armored. ..I tried to open the door but it was jammed so I maneuvered the car out of the cue to a lane that was not in use.
By this time , the car was full of smoke and I could see smoke coming out of the bonnet as I shouted the Name above all Names…JESUS… and I pulled again at the door lever and it opened….PRAISE THE LORD….HALLELUJAH.
I felt the presence of the LORD envelope me as I calmly got out of the car unruffled. .. I was not afraid.
People were running out of there cars as others tried to maneuver away from the fire….hmm it is amazing how fast people react when they see danger.
I said very loud ..Satan..you are a bloody liar. No weapon formed against me shall prosper In JESUS Name ..Amen.
I calmly opened the bonnet and a thick ball of smoke hit my face as I could see that cables were on fire and the foam and leather covering of the inside of the bonnet of the car.
I unplugged the battery as the fire raged and went for my extinguisher. .but help was on the way. The LORD had gone ahead as the incident happened next to the office of the toll gate management, who mobilized commendably, and brought heavy duty fire extinguishers.
They were joined by my in-law…Bethel and his cousin who were on there way to Lekki to battle the fire.
As they did, I stood calmly..praying in Heavenly tongues as I watched the fire fizzle out. To GOD BE THE GLORY.
I started laughing and said to the Satan..shame on you looser..you have lost forever…and I continued thanking and praising Our ABLE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
