It his birthday and like every other year, this year’s celebration was mostly marked by friends, colleagues and fans who went all out to celebrate him. Indeed he is worth celebrating considering the fact that he has been doing gospel music for over two decades now. From just being just a movie sound track producer in Nollywood to becoming a house hold name in the gospel music scene, Sammie has done well for himself through the grace of God. Impacting lives with the message of Jesus and ushering God’s people in God’s presence all the time.

His music has not slowed down at all, for one, he has grown in leaps and bounds reinventing himself and his music to fit into trend yet not losing the message and core of his brand. The delta state born gospel music minister, popularly known as the wellu wellu master has been consistent over the years and has not gone out of fashion like some of his contemporaries who he started this journey with. Sammie is not slowing down at all. He has recently featured to American gospel act Jonathan Nelson and is planning to do more. His three latest singles E tobi, Oghene doh and Ome Mma are currently available for purchase on song selling platforms world wide and he has promised that he has a new album coming titled – SWAG

Sammie Okposo is obviously in hot demand around the body of Christ as his very busy schedule and social media post testifies to that fact. He is a regular face at Africa’s biggest gospel concert – The Experience Lagos and worships at House on The Rock, Lagos, Nigeria.  He is happily married to his beautiful wife Ozy.
