Congratulations to Tasha Cobbs Leonard as her single “Break Every Chain” passes to Platinum–selling 1 million equivalent units, with 843 million streams and counting.
At the 26th International Conference of the Full Gospel Baptist in Nashville, the multi-award winning gospel songstress was presented with the RIAA Platinum Award, by representatives from her label Motown Records.
Released in 2012 from her major label debut studio album Grace (2013), “Break Every Chain” surpassed the 2012 Billboard Gospel Songs chart and the respective digital and airplay gospel charts. The song also peaked on the Billboard Holiday Songs chart at number thirty-five and on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart twenty-nine. The song won a “Best Gospel / Contemporary Christian Music Performance” Grammy at the 56th Grammy Awards. Cobbs performed the song in October 2013 at the 44th GMA Dove Awards.
