THERE IS SOMETHING LEFT

“And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.”
(Mark 11: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus sent His disciples to fetch Him a colt on which no man ever sat. His disciples found the colt tied outside, where two roads met. They found the colt in a place where it was at the mercy of the weather, and where men could have easily used it.

The colt was exposed, it may have taken on a lot of dust, it may have been a laughing stock among men and animals, it may have seemed abandoned, disadvantaged and stuck at a spot, but there was something good about it- no man had ever sat on it. Jesus saw something good about the colt.

Friend, things may have gone wrong around you, people may have cheated and abandoned you, you may have been at the same spot longer than you expected, you may have been insulted by men because of circumstances you didn’t bring on yourself, things may have gone incredibly bad around you, but if there is still something good remaining in you, then your next level is sure.

You may have been disappointed, disqualified and disillusioned, but if your connection to God is intact, your divine visitation is imminent. If you held on to righteousness despite temptations, and if you held on to your faith despite your misfortunes, then your divine visitation is on the way. The good that is left in you is God’s platform to visit you afresh.

If there is something left, then there is something God can bless.

Ecclesiastes 9: 4 says: “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.”

Pray With Me: Lord, despite the ‘dust’ on me, there is something left that You can bless, in Jesus’ name!
