His real name is ‘Anyakwo Olisaeloka Solomon Isaac’. He simply known as Oleesa. Some friends fondly call him Oily (there is Oil on his Head) or on Tour Baba’ (from the name of his ministry). He hails from Onitsha in Anambra state. He is the President of Oleesa on Tour Ministries International, a ministry involved in giving to the poor and Worship Music concerts to spread the Gospel of Jesus. Oleesa Isaac is a trained Physiotherapist from the College of Medicine, Lagos University teaching hospital, LUTH, Idiaraba, Lagos.
He loves music so much, lives for Great music and who is best to receive great music than our God, the Father of music. He remembers singing in the children’s choir at age 5 and in teens choir and then, to the main choir in our Redeemed Christian Church of God church. He has some mentors in the ministry he looks up to like Israel Houghton, Tye Tribbett, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Nathaniel Bassey and Micah Stampley.
Also a Gospel Voice Coach, he has been training gospel singers for about 3 years. ‘My Hiding Place’ was a song his roommate used to sing in 400 level, it stuck. He told him he was going to do great things with the song. His friend’s mother was very sick and needed an operation, one night after prayer the spirit of the Lord said she shall not die and this song of worship just came out declaring that God is our hiding place, our safe refuge, we can run to Him and can trust Him to bring us out of anything. His life has been a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace. God has kept him and will continue to do so.
This song reaches out to various kinds of people. The broken-hearted, the depressed, the addicted who have given up on themselves and feel they can go no further, the fatherless and motherless. God is our hiding place and we can trust him. To my fellow brothers in Christ, keep the faith, trust in the Holy One of Zion to keep you through life and bring you to an expected end. To the Spiritual Leaders and Men of Faith ‘My Hiding Place’ helps you to remember who God is and how He has been keeping you through it all and He will not stop.
