American Idol finalist Colton Dixon will be performing his Christmas day single “Let It Snow” at the National Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Dixon’s hit single “Miracles,” from Dixon’s Atlantic Records debut, has officially hit Top 5 on Billboard’s National Christian Audience chart following holding on to the No. 1 spot for 6 weeks on Hot/AC CHR this past summer.
KLOVE also featured Dixon on their homepage this week discussing mainstream opportunies, fatherhood and every day miracles.
Available to watch on-demand at www.thenationaltree.org starting at 5 p.m. ET on December 3rd and throughout the holiday season, a festive compilation of Christmas lights and music, national parks, and holiday cheer, the 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will bring joy into homes across the country.
Dixon will make a repeat performance at the event when he sings his new track, a lovely version of “Let It Snow,” along with performances from country singer/songwriter Jerrod Niemann; country artist Jillian Cardarelli; singer/songwriter Jillian Edwards and others.
Dixon released “Let It Snow” as he and wife Annie are about to celebrate their first Christmas with their newborn twins. Written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in July 1945, the classic was penned in Hollywood, California, ironically during a heat wave as Cahn and Styne imagined cooler conditions.
Dixon, along with his wife Annie and twin girls Athens and Dior recently joined Entertainment Tonight for an exclusive, at-home interview. Discussing life as a family of four with correspondent Rachel Smith, they also talked about both “Miracles,” and “Let It Snow.”
