Easter Special : THE BRIDGE TO RESTORATION by ICPF

THE BRIDGE TO RESTORATION

Have you ever traveled by a rope way bridge through the slow clad mountains? It is an amazing sight to watch the elevating rope-line taking us through the cold mountains towards the heights where we could get a very different view of the world below and around us. Beautiful pathways and bridges made of steel and mortar are also seen to establish the connection between two lands far out reach. These are just few examples of how important it is for man to reach their destination through a reliable mode.

As much as we know how important it is for us to reach our destination; we also need to ensure whether the mode we choose to reach there is reliable, the best one or not. The Cross of Christ is like that bridge, where the extreme kindness of God has been built up to a very lost and confused humanity that needs salvation. Through all the forlorn years of sorrow and
hopelessness that mankind has been experiencing; God chose to send His one and only son to die at the place where a lost and sinful mankind was supposed to die; experiencing the wrath
that could have consumed the entire world. If it wasn’t for that act of mercy and love toward us we all could have never seen hope and a future in land which is eternal.

This meant Jesus had to undergo every blow of pain and hail of insult, not just from the time when He was hanging on the Cross but from the time He carried that Cross bearing the burden and dejection of mankind, which did not even understand His love for them. Jesus Christ is the only reliable way to experience true freedom from all bondage and confusion because he went through all of it, to give us what He had and take away from us, what we rightfully deserved. (Isaiah 53: 1-6)

On Good Friday, we commemorate this wonderful, deep
meaning of the Cross of Jesus Christ that sets us free from our
ignorance and inability to reach where no man could reach except through Jesus; who, being innocent, chose to go through the utmost amount of emptiness and loneliness just so that we could experience the restoration of His father’s love for us.
