Firma Collective Re-imagines Worship Classic New Single “Be Thou My Vision”

The Los Angeles-based modern worship group Firma Collective made an impact on the radio this year, spending 5 weeks on the Billboard Christian New & Noteworthy Chart and more than 10 weeks on the CMW Worship Chart with their debut single, “Mercy’s Tree” (feat. Lexi Jones). Spotify alone racked up more than one million streams.

The group follows their debut success with their second single, “Be Thou My Vision (Surrendered to You),” featuring Matthew Scott’s smoky, magnetic vocal chops, a dynamic young worship leader from Greater Los Angeles.

CCM Magazine’s John Barber says, “Firma Collective’s first effort is a great seven song EP…they sing from their gut, and it’s fantastic. Whether it’s a brand new song, like Mercy’s Tree, or a re-imagining of a classic like Be Thou My Vision, Firma Collective is a God honoring, crowd pleasing hit.

Both singles are featured on Firma Collective’s debut7-song EP, Songs For Every Soul — the first release from Firma Music Group, a fresh Christian Music label established by Hollywood heavyweights Joel Weldon and Tom Mgrdichian. The couple originally set out to link entertainment industry talent with the local worship group with the objective of producing music that blesses the Church. For this first release, powerful young worship leaders Lexi Jones and Matthew Scott were added to the list.
