GOD’S POWER WILL PREVAIL

“And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the

land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.” (2 Kings 5: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

The maid that waited on Naaman’s wife was an Israelite. In Israel, lepers were
quarantined. Lepers were taken out of the city and forgotten. The laws were against
them. Everyone in Israel who was familiar with the law knew that a leper should be
sent away.

The Hebrew maid didn’t ask that Naaman be sent away; she referred him to Elisha for
healing. She knew the law, but also knew the power of God that could turn things
around. Instead of speaking of the law, she spoke of the power of God that could
heal Naaman and renew his skin.

Friend, look beyond the law/processes and protocols of men. Look beyond the doctor’s
report; look beyond the report in the economy; look beyond the requirements you
don’t have; look beyond the hurdles that men have placed before you; look beyond the
verdict of men who say your miracle is impossible; look beyond what everybody knows.

The law may be against you, but God’s power is on your side; the protocols of men
may disqualify you, but God’s mercies will come through for you; people in charge
may be against you, but God is on your side; the doctor’s report may be against you,
but the healing power of God is on your side, waiting to deliver your healing to
you; your mistakes may even be against you, but mercy and grace will speak on your
behalf.

The power of God prevailed over the law against Naaman. The law bowed to the power
of God. Every law against you will bow to the power of God. God’s power will prevail
over any handwriting of ordinance against you. If Jehovah is involved, God’s power
will prevail.

Pray With Me: Lord, may Your power prevail over every law and protocol that is
against me, in Jesus’ name!
